March 11, 2007

Dakota Running Irons at Outlaw Training Camp.

Dakota Running Irons meeting was held March 11, 2007 at Ashley Arena during the monthly practice shoot.

Discussion on having a sanctioned event in June before the Grand American. Monday is only day open, according to CMSA rules. We may have a non-sanctioned shoot on Sunday. Tucker and Brett will contact some of the Wisconsin shooters to see if there is any interest in having a Sanctioned Shoot. The Wisconsin shooters have expressed an interest in stabling at Ashley Arena on the way to Spearfish.

Crystal will email CMSA to get the May 5th Dakota Cowboy Heritage Festival Shoot approved. Paul will email them about banners, posters, and barrel covers.

We should be able to get entry forms from the CMSA website. We may also decide to have a team jackpot that day.

The cost breakdown for the $60 entry fee will be: $5 to CSMA, $16 for shells, $2 for balloons, $5 out for champion and reserve champion payback (split 60/40). $15 out for payouts. That makes it $23 expenses for each shooter, $10 for arena rent, $27 payback; leaving $10 profit for Dakota Running Irons Club.

Instead of paying for balloon setters, we will probably do it ourselves.

After the meeting, the gunfight was on.
